Why This Site Exists
Gilroy records are not kept by one office. The Santa Clara County Clerk-Recorder handles official records, vital records, marriage services, fictitious business names, notary filings, and CEQA filings from 110 W. Tasman Dr. in San Jose. The City of Gilroy maintains city public records, agendas, ordinances, resolutions, FPPC filings, and election-related records through the City Clerk and the Open Gilroy portal. Court matters run through the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, with many Gilroy criminal matters heard at South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill. We organize those search tools, office contacts, and access rules in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Pages by record type: public records, voter registration records, and people directories
- Local records offices: Santa Clara County Clerk-Recorder, City of Gilroy City Hall, county assessor, Superior Court, and Registrar of Voters
- Search walkthroughs: how to use the court portal, check city records through Open Gilroy, and understand property searches when owner names are suppressed online
- Access rules: what California law makes public, what stays restricted, and how a California Public Records Act request works when a record is not online
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the City of Gilroy, Santa Clara County, any California agency, the Superior Court, or any records custodian. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person lives in Gilroy
- We cannot remove information from government records or third-party databases
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a record applies to your situation
- We cannot guarantee that every record index, portal link, or office detail on this site is current right now
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or any other FCRA-regulated decision.
